PENNSYLVANIA INDEPENDENT CONSUMERS & FARMERS ASSOC.

PICFA, Inc. serves as a collective voice for farmers, consumers, and small, grass-roots organizations across Pennsylvania.

The mission of the Pennsylvania Independent Consumers and Farmers Association, Inc. is to promote and preserve unregulated direct farmer-to-consumer trade that fosters availability of locally grown and home-produced nutrient rich foods, including raw milk and raw milk products.

We see a state abundant with independent farmer-to-consumer commerce.  With the return of holistic sustainable farming, the inherent bond between farmer and community is being revitalized. Many of us are feeling the benefits of getting closer to our food source and the Pennsylvania Independent Consumers and Farmers Association, Inc. is fostering this movement at the forefront.

We can accomplish anything when we work together. Together, we work to:

Jonas Stoltzfus of JuJo Acres	Support Farmers’ rights to trade freely in a manner unencumbered by government regulations that have been written for industrial agriculture.
	Support Consumers’ rights to have access to nutrient rich foods and, in particular, milk products from animals grown on pasture based farms.
Farm Food Voices in Washington DC: Address by Congressman Ron Paul and farmer and author Joel Salatin	Provide advocacy through legislative activities.
PICFA, Inc.’s Hannah Smith and Maureen Diaz (representing Weston A. Price Foundation) at community event.	Provide Education, Resources and Networking Opportunities.
